The “D” kinda stands for “Dez” but I like your interpretation.

That is one of my favorite strips overall. It was a filler strip I made in my spare time that I thought I could use if I was running out of ideas or time. It turned out so nicely, it cememted Clementine as a recurring character, and not just a one-shot girl.

Apparently “insert affirmative exclamation here” registered as an even worse attempt at HTML formatting than my usual tinkering. So, uh, just imagine that in brackets before my above exclamation mark. Perhaps I should get some sleep before commenting on the archives anymore…

But yeah, she came back, thanks to popular demand.
I was using carat brackets instead of quotation marks to frame “insert affirmative exclamation here,” since I had a hard time picking one. ‘Shiny,’ ‘nifty,’ and ‘cool’ didn’t feel quite right. I either forgot that HTML would see that as a command and not show it, or hoped that an invalid command would default to being shown.

She is probably the best character up to this point in the story.
Oh, hey, those actress girls were in Flore’s vision of her house being invaded. I thought they looked familiar.
Yeah. This strip was actually made before the Flore strip you’re talking about, but because of pacing, I ended up publishing it later. So this is actually the first appearance of those girls, and I brought them back for the vision sequence, even though it ended up the other way around on the site.
Clementine rocks. Clementine for prez!
