Guest 25 – by Phil Muñoz
Whew!
I saved this comic in a bigger format because it’s so text-heavy, we couldn’t see anything using the usual resolution!
So yay! My old friend Phil Muñoz strikes again with this amazing roleplay-themed comic!
I think I really need to draw the girls in a fantasy setting at some point.
MNeige is a bard! That’s just perfect :D
Nice one Phil!
But of course. From what I’ve learned, Marie-Neige would have accepted nothing else…
I mean, she basically IS an in-comic Bard at times… :P
Isn’t Bard the “Roll d20 vs getting laid” class?
Daniel here. Bards are indeed the Class most known for being seductive. Seen other characters in other Classes try their talents at wooing the ladies, but the Bard Class have a reputation for it…
I’ve even heard of a Bard rolling repeated 1s to seduce a lady, hilariously resulting in her death! Tried to hide the body, Nat 1! Guards spotted him, thought he was trying to have his way with the dead body :P! Got locked up for it, so the DM made a jail for the team to break him out of. Except the team just continued the quest, leaving him behind. So the Bard had to get himself out, but this time he was much more successful in his seductions… :P :D
Back then in Elfwood, Fredrik KT Andersson used to have a running gag about a lust-blinded bard getting himself in the weirdest situations once and again, which bothered his partners quite a lot :)

I have seen that image before, the only thing that surprises me is that they don’t already have a “Bards Are Panssexuals” trope yet.
Daniel here. LOL it could be worse. In 1 campaign I’m part of, a Dwarf & a Centaur (Yes, Human from the abs up, horse for the rest) were trying to hit on a Barmaid but a Troll erupted out of the floor. There was a battle, & the Centaur got knocked out (Player couldn’t join 2nd 1/2 of battle) so after the battle the Dwarf passed his room details to said Barmaid…
Later that night, it wasn’t the Barmaid who banged on his door, but her HUSBAND who was not impressed at all! Dwarf was verbally put in his place (not that it would stop him doing it again, path of angry Fathers/Husbands/Partners in his wake kinda deal) & my Warforged just commented on how weird other beings are before going back to polishing his weaponry yet again…
Oh yeah, that’s forgetting the team thief who tried pickpocketing the same male Centaur from behind before the battle. Rolled a Natural 1 AKA “Nat 1”. Grabbed a pouch, very much the wrong one, was literally sent flying across the tavern for their troubles…
Beware the Nat 1…
Whenever I see or hear the word immersion or immersive, my mind brings up the MxR channel.
When I see the letters MXR it makes me think of a classic line of guitar effects pedals from the ’70s.
Of course Marie-Neige’s gonna be a drunk bard that keep hitting on the NPC of Many Jobs.
Also, I like Flore having no imagination for her name.
This is glorious! And I love the way their PC names are based on their real world names. (still trying to figure out Helgret/Chloe)
Chloe’s PC name came from a random name table at the back of Xanathar’s Guide to Everything. My take is that each character has their own take on being into the game and Chloe’s the one that does everything by rolling on a table.
Yeah, I can see where it was going for them:
– Marie-Neige always picks Yuki cause that’s her name in Japanese and she’s a huge weeb
– She persuaded Clémentine to do the same
– Flore probably watched Superman last night
– Saki went with her code name thinking no one would notice
– Chloé was having none of that translated real name nonsense, she tried to find a name that fits with her character and not her actual self but couldn’t find any idea so she let Fred roll a random name
– Gaia had better things to do and prefers kicking ass in real life
And that she picked a goliath wizard.
Saki, just picture an attack that missed because of your high AC as someone hitting your armor ineffectively, maybe giving you a bruise or something. Same for a shield btw. Everything that has weak spots, even the skin of lizardfolk, counts as armor.
But damage resistance and damage reduction do exist, too, at least if you play D&D, so Flore only has half of a point, i.e. a too complex system does slow the game down.
Which is why I’ve been playing stuff based on Savage Worlds for a while now.
Anyway, good job, Phil!
I think a better explanation might be that female fantasy armor tends to be extremely distracting :P
Goliath Flore, halfling Clementine. We should have a bodyswap episode with these two.
I want more of these DnD strips! I think it’d be fun to watch them try to play DnD with all of their interesting personalities.
Also, I’ve got a build for Flore that’d make a lot more sense for her.
I love that caped look on Clementine. Too bad it would be weird for her to wear it outside of the game.
