65 – Harmlessness
Apparently, there’s a couple of nice Golf courses in Quebec City. I wouldn’t know about that, since I don’t play golf.
So yeah, I’m pretty sure Conroy has to be bored out of his mind. I would be.

Girls in sports jerseys <3
I know, right? I don’t even like sports.
Lol, me either. I just like the quality materials and designs they use, the fit and the…shininess.
Hehe. Do you know what Jersey that is, though?
Quebec Nordiques. The second-best defunct NHL team (nothing beats the Hartford Whalers).
Meh. Polonecks like Clementine’s are better.
Golf is for VERY patient people…
And gentlemen.
“GOLF: A pleasant walk ruined.”
I discovered your strip about a week ago and just finished reading from the beginning. That makes me very sad because now I’ll only be able to read one strip per week. I really like it and I’m curious to see how the characters’ relationships develop. Keep up the good work.
By the way, the jersey is of the Québec Nordiques, a hockey team that was sold and became the Colorado Avalanche about 20 years ago ;)
Are you from Québec? :)
Aw, and thank you so much for the nice comments. I’m sorry I don’t have more. (or not enough time to draw more than once a week.)
How did you discover Frivolesque?
I’m from Montréal but I was born in a town about halfway between the two and when I was young, people would decide weather you were a good person by whether you cheered for the Montréal’s Canadians or the Québec’s Nordiques…
As for how I discovered the strip, a friend posted about it on Facebook and I came to have a look.
Tu peux parler en français alors. ;)
Saki looks like she’s perpetually smelling something awful.
Really? Why?
Those cookies might be poison or worse those disgusting sugar ones!
Aw.
Seriously, though, at this point, Saki is already realizing Gaia is “mostly harmless”.
Is that an intentional HGttG reference?
Absolutely
Cute, athletic, ridiculously long-haired, and a competent combatant and cook? If I were the sort to list after fictional characters…
So I take it Gaia is your favorite? :)
I don’t really do ‘favorites,’ but I’ll admit to being biased in favor of combatants. Rather the cast as a whole are in a rather long list of favorite casts, alongside series like Girl Genius or Ratchet and Clank.
You have no idea how happy this statement makes me
She sounds a bit like a Sue to me. Er, Mary Sue, that is. Of course, some of my favourite characters are Sues.
I definitely don’t think she qualifies as a Sue though. Or by that definition, all super heroes are Sues.
A character can have a large number of “Mary Sue Traits” but as long as the writing and characterisation is done well enough, she won’t be a Mary Sue.
I misspelled ‘lust?’ I blame the late hour at which I was reading.
J’ai eue une vision de Gaia en train de me faire des cookies. Matante Gaia =D
On veut tous une matante Gaia qui nous fait des biscuits.
But they could be DANGEROUS cookies!
