Our seventh guest strip comes from Montreal-based Félix Lavallée, also known as Falingard. Felix is the man behind Flaky Pastry, a webcomic I love that has been running since 2005. It feels really special to see Frivolesque in the hands of such a veteran!
Gaia always keeps herself busy, it seems. It’s really hard for us normal people to have lives as exciting as hers.
This whole strip is hilarious.
Check out Flaky Pastry or Falingard’s DeviantArt!
And for Gaia, that was a SLOW DAY… :D
Yeah. Usually, she fights ninjas too.
…and those bastards fight dirty.
Just a normal day for Gaia ^^
Yup!
Ooohh, look at them! What an excelent take, Gaia looks sooo fit and Flore’s faces are too cute :)
I like FP a lot, Zintiel is one of the most appealing characters in existence :) and the art is amazing, especially the body language and expressions.
DEZ, man, you sure must consider those low waist pants, Gaia looks straight damn hot in them.
Ooh, it’s always cool when you guys know who the guests are! Falingard has always been very supportive of Frivolesque, so I hope you guys do visit his webcomic!
And… those “pants” are actually the shorts Gaia always wears when she’s going something sporty… Are they not? Maybe mine aren’t as low on her waist…
I’m definitely no master of anatomy like Felix is either.
Yes, I know, I recognized the outfit, I just didn’t know how those are called, looks too “long” for “shorts” ;) “pants” seemed the more safe term :)
And yes the difference is just the waist height, also Falingard drew (damn, I don’t know that term either… inguinal folds?) body lines that emphasize it.
BTW, that is the Château Frontenac, isn’t it?
Felix draws females that are much sexier than anything I could ever dream of. :(
And yes, it’s the Chateau indeed. I have yet to take my girls there myself…
I’m sure you can do it, go ahead, try and practice, we can *ahem* bear it for your sake.
Yay! My walks around are paying off, I’m starting to know the city :)
At last! Something clear I can untarsdend. Thanks!
Wow…both the girls look great (especially Flore. That girl got some nice hips) As for Gaia, I think we need to buy that girl a cape.
She surely do :) That first panel somehow show the duality between her age and her attitude.
It’s a nice drawing, however I prefer her usual appearance.
I like how Felix draws their bodies but I still think Dez draws cuter faces.
I agree.
I’m waiting another six months before going to see Flaky Pastry. That way I can indulge in a few pages in a row and get more depth in one sitting.
If only artists could post 100 pages a week I’d have a good chunk to read :P (though I know that’s impossible…)
Yes, I do something like that too :)
I have a problem with FP, the strips are so dynamic and linked that them all feel like a cliffhanger, I can’t bear reading just one, then I go backwards a bit, and then to the archive, and then… an hour is gone.
Must… Resist…. Visiting….
*gulp* I just googled and Gaia just found like 30 dollars and up to… 500!!
Oh, that’s all she’s done? Must be a slow day then. Me, I’ve…I’ve…I’ve been waiting for jobs. Doesn’t always happen, but pays well enough to keep Daniel the Human off my back for a while…
Cute drawing style, I like the toony way the characters look.
You should check his webcomic out, then! It’s really awesome. :)
You know Flore’s underplaying the whole clothes shopping thing.
Ooh, exciting! I wonder what kind of clothes she looked it
I guess she’s referring to that time she went shopping with Marie-Neige and Saki.
I got to this webcomic from Flaky Pastry :)
Yay! New readers! Welcome to Frivolesque!
Flaky Pastry is an awesome comic from an awesome guy.
Final panel Gaia is so straight out of Flaky Pastry even I recognized it. :)
(Oh hey! I’m making my way through your archives now!)
This is the only guest comic i recognized, but it wasn’t until the last panel i realized it looked like flaky pastry.
For some reason, the nose tipped me off.
