90 – Future
He’s a little something inspirational, I guess. :)
I have been wanting to do a solo Mimi strip for a while.
Her two friends appeared briefly before, but let me properly introduce them. The kid with the afro is Felix, and the blond one is David.
Yup, Mimi is the kind of girl who prefer to play with the boys. The three go to the same elementary school and are the same age.
(Somebody asked me if the kids were playing on the well known Quebec Bridge… Of course they aren’t. They’re actually hanging on the much smaller Lavigueur Bridge, connecting Vanier with the downtown area.)
As always, if you like Frivolesque, don’t forget to comment or like the Facebook page!
Aint that sweet… oh never mind…
It’s still sweet-ish. Isn’t it? :)
In a way I guess.
Who’s the gravatar today, Mongoose?
Of course it’s not the Quebec Bridge… this one looks painted.
*runs*
HAHAHA I wanted to say the same thing.
Poor Felix, maybe one day.
Whoa it’s his first speaking role and you’re already on a first name basis with him?
owned
It’s not Marie-Neige, but the story is still very nice. Made me smile to see Felx all shy then going “nooooo…….” in his head when Mimi said that she wouldn’t need police to protect her. It made me wonder of the reasons I chose to promote Japanese culture. You are of course part of the reason now ;)
You gotta realize that most comics won’t be Marie-Neige stories since she’s only one character out of five. ;)
And thank you!
Good thing too. Less MN = better.
Mimi’s such a lovely character :) And I love her view of the world. So innocent yet so true to her character. Once again, a nice, light soft-hearted strip that makes Mondays worth going through.
Thank you, man. :)
Good God I love your character design.
Wow!
Thank you, Seasons. What prompted this random outburst? Mimi? Or the two boys?
When life or death is a matter of seconds, help is only minutes away! You don’t need police if you got your old friends Smith and Wesson ^__^
Remember, we’re Canadian. Those old friends aren’t as active this side of the border.
Maybe in Alberta ^^
Those damn Harper-voting cowboys…
I dunno. Good ol’ Colt & Browning can be lifesavers in a pinch, but there’s a lot to be said for solid law enforcement. For one, the knowledge that it’s there probably discourages a phenomenal amount of crime from the unscrupulous.
My personal preference is actually an M1911 (Auto Ordinance one, since I find the Colt one too expensive), but law enforcement is nice I don’t think you want to be guarding your house 24/7, it’s just that she was saying how she won’t need anyone’s (including policeman’s) protection which reminded me of some cheesy pro-gun posters I saw a while back, more of a weird brain connections then a useful commentary really
Maxim, always the gun nut.
Kid got wrecked.
Not too badly though.
That’s a sweet job on the bridge. I loves me a good bridge.
It’s a cute little bridge too in real life. I should post pictures of it. :)
David reminds me of Noah in El Goonish Shive…
I’m not familiar with EGS… I hope it’s not too blatant a resemblance…
I recommend it.
Admittedly I’m biased, since EGS is my favourite active webcomic.
It is a classic example of art-improvement. Starts awful. Becomes awesome.
And the characters are surprisingly real, given the setting is extremely not.
Why is everyone in this comic so oblivious?
Because I’m dumb like them.
I was waiting for the final panel punchline.
But then there were no more panels. And no punchline.
Figured it’d be something about strong independent women not being impervious to knives and bullets… but it never came. =/
taking away the only reason men progress since 70 or so years ago
