After taking (and surviving) a fall like that, one’s adrenaline is in overdrive… for the time being. One can hold off hand to hand hostiles for a good time, but the trade off is gonna be time in recovery. A LONG time in recovery. It tears one’s body up.
Backup is necessary, because the level of injury ignored still takes a toll on the situation at hand., even if not noticed at the time.
So Gaia (most likely in this tale), John, or more likely in real life a third helpful party is gonna intervene.
Flore’s dad will save the day.
Nah, it’s gonna be Nick, Gaia’s trainer. He will also die horribly in process.

I think we’ve reached a whole different sort of slice-of-life, more slicing and less life. Actually, that pun would work better if either or both had a sword.

Fortunate that Saki had her mobile phone with her and it was okay after the fall.
Also good of Saki remember that it’s rude to talk on the phone when you have company. So many people forget that.
