A friend of Gaia’s, being an agent? That’s ridiculous, right?
At least, it seems like Gaia and Iapetus aren’t gonna end up fighting after all…

That finally answers the number question, or half of it anyway.
The agent might be the one with the glasses.
That very same.
I KNEW IT!
Looks like Hyperion might not be around anymore =/
I wonder if Furies and Conroy are also from the Network.
Terminator easter egg: spotted.
Conroy works with Saki, so yes. (He’s one of the two Phoebe fought, after all)
As for the Furies… yeah, probably.
For a moment I read that as Furries. lol
I guess the terminator easter egg is the “no future” graffiti? I only get hits for Banksy when I google it.
So we know that Gaia is quite above the average height, but in panel 2, Iapetus is obscenely tall. He might be revealed as not-ordinary-human by his height alone, as ridiculous hair color can be dismissed as dyed.
Also, someone please help remembering a trope. It’s about the last panel where Iapetus is making a suspiciously specific statement, but neither him nor Gaia know he’s right.
He is like 7’4″. My tallest character for sure.
Certainly the tallest Oompa-Loompa I’ve ever seen.
I bet if you said that to his face, he’d laugh and slap you on the back so hard you end up in the hospital.
Hmmm, does Liliane count as one of Gaia’s friends? If so then Iapetus is wrong.
She sure counts!
How is he wrong, though?
He said one versus more than one.
The fact he suspects one might be an agent doesn’t invalidate the idea that there might even be more than one of them. XD
Well, Liliane isn’t really part of the gang of friends. She’s a bit more of a presence in the background. But this could be a nasty test of Saki’s loyalty. I hope she isn’t sent after Gaia.
Oh wow, I got a different avatar. (must have entered something wrong)
No, the avatars got reset a few weeks ago.
But Gravatars still work fine, right?
Well, that answered my question. (So did Levin, but I just needed to be sure.)
Liliane isn’t part of the main group of friends, but she IS a friend of Gaia’s and the two have been seen hanging out a couple of times without the other girls around.
Just like Saki is friends with Delphine now even though Delphine isn’t part of the main gang.
Oh, was exposing the green-haired people the mission Saki and Conroy got back then?

But if so then Liliane should’ve been suspicious of Gaia, and Saki would’ve reported her long ago instead of just trying to infiltrate the girls.
Phoebe just could’ve stayed hidden, unless they got really close to finding something besides legumes.

Saki did report her to Liliane, and Liliane wasn’t suspicious of Gaia because Liliane is colorblind and never knew Gaia has green hair. After they figured things out, Liliane reassinged Saki to “protect” Gaia instead of spying on her.

I think the colorblind thing was a throwaway gag that you guys really took too seriously. But yeah. Liliane wasn’t really looking for the Green Haired people to begin with. Saki was the one who was curious about them (since Phoebe seemed to have supernatural strength) and then Zoe tried to dig deeper into the matter, much to Liliane’s indifference.
Hmm.
The original misson Saki and Conroy did was simply to investigate some mysterious shipment in a warehouse in the harbor. They weren’t investigating the Green Haired people (they didn’t even know about them). Even if they couldn’t find anything special in the shipping containers, the fact was, the warehouse was protected by a bunch of shady dudes with guns.
Phoebe attacked the duo because they had already started beating the snot out of their thugs, and might have eventually found whatever they were hiding, which is probably just a macguffin as fas as this story is concerned.
Liliane really didn’t care about Gaia or the Green Haired people. Saki is the one making a connection between the two, so she sent Saki to investigate just in case (and to make her happy). (and eventually reassigned Saki to look after Gaia when they realized it wasn’t the same person)
Okay, I am confused now. Saki and Conroy didn’t investigate Green Haired people, but Iapetus said agents from the Network ARE investigating them AND that Phoebe fought two of them. So I have to conclude that some other Network department is investigating them, Saki’s encounter was by chance and the real Network agent tasked with “exposing” them is Marie-Lune. Correct? ^^
The two agents Phoebe fought are Saki and Conroy.
Marie Lune and the Montreal branch have been openly investigating them, as Zoe figured out, however. Iapetus has no way to know which agent is directly invastigating them and who isn’t.
Ah, so I was correct. ^^ Good to know!
