I know that in the US, pie usually means a dessert of some kind while in Australia, pie is typically savoury(meat pies), so what does type of meal does pie represent in Canada?
Desserts, mostly.
Just as long as it isn’t both meat AND dessert pie. I ended up making 1 of those once, did not turn out well…
I guess that the world just isn’t ready for the Cherry Steak pie yet then.

Come to think of it, I can see why it might have failed. Lemon meringue just can’t stand up to beef chili. Now, if you had used a nice tart Granny Smith Apple filling, on the other paw–er, I mean “hand”, nyao… -_^
I figured as much, not sure if it is more to do with the French culture or a bleed-over effect of being connected with the USA.
French version says “tarte” and that term isn’t particularly used for meat pies.
So I guess you would be hard-pressed finding a restaurant who makes a nice ‘tarte au poulet’ in that case.
Haha, no, that would be a “pâté” if it was a meat pie.

Obviously. Flore likes her friends. Some things like that make her smile genuinely sometimes.
