A while back, there was a movement where college kids used to offer people free hugs on the street.
Hugs from strangers aren’t as effective as hugs from people you kinda know though.
I don’t mind being hugged by cute strangers. xD

Sadly, when I was an angry teen, I would likely have thrown a punch had someone tried hugging me.
I was also an angry teen well into my 20s (but at least not into my 30s!).
I think I’m not particularly partial to hugs even now (generally preferred not to be touched), but generally have no desire to throw punches at people attempting the hug process, so that’s growth, right?

I was craving human contact back then. I always felt so lonely…
I mean, angry teen, sure, but more that I very specificaly did NOT crave human contact. I craved being left alone.
Now, I come off as very extroverted, but in reality I’m an outgoing introvert that still needs to be left alone sometimes. I think other people have a hard time with that concept.
I actually crave solitude and silence a good amount of the time, and I think I did then, too, but couldn’t express it so got way more attention than I could handle.

Besides, I don’t think we know how old Gaia really is. She might have been decanted from an alien cloning vat no more than ten years ago for all we know.

I suppose she did witness Gaia giving Chloe a German suplex. So perhaps it’s not that weird to worry when you’re suddenly grabbed by Gaia out of the blue.
