Ugh, please.
Street Fighter references only.

Daniel here. Nobody could ever beat me as Blanka…
Whoops, wrong button… :P
Anyway, couldn’t tell if the Cammy or Chun Li themes would be appropriate here, so I’ll just link them both…

Enjoy…
The use of weapons seems more Tekken-esque to me. Killer Instinct, too since they’re fighting to the death.
Who has weapons in Tekken? Yoshimitsu?
Street Fighter has its share of weapon users, though. Vega, Eagle, Geki, Rolento, Falke, Cody, Poison, Decapre…
If you wanted straight up weapons fighting, the Soul Caliber/Soul Edge series of games fit the bill, This however, this is more Street Fighter – some are armed, but not all…
Final Round: Fight!
Yes
All those jogging trainings with Gaia are finally paying off.
Not sure if funny is the word I would use in your hovertext.
Only if Laurence were to appear out of nowhere, catch the bullet and say: “Oh no, we can’t have a main character die. But good action so far, girls. Now, put the gun away, Phoebe. And Saki, if you break a broom, you might want to kick a little bit higher. I mean, that’s what skirts are for, right? ;-)”
Panel three was good enough for -me-.
It was funny in Indiana Jones. Of course it all depends on who it happens to.
who sweeps a rooftop?
people who have an acessable roof near tall trees?
Dang. Now I gotta go look up ‘crinquée’. Which has nothing to do with edible tree seeds. And seems to be Québécois.
(Also an echo of the defiant reply to the German demand for surrender by the defenders of Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge?)
It is indeed Quebecois, and basically means “revved up”, “cranked up”, “primed” or any equivalent. I didn’t know how to translate “nuts” directly, and have no idea what the quote was in either French versions of Batman (1989)
Having actually watched you construct part of this comic, I respect it. Mad respect.
Um. I honestly did not read your comment before I made my own just below. I really wasn’t taking the Mickey.
It was really fun hanging out with you, Gecko. Next time, I want to see you draw too.
Assuming I CAN draw and don’t just hire people to cover for my lack of skills… ;)
Wow… All I can say is: Mad respect for your tenacity and courage, Saki.
I looks like Saki is taking the initiative, planning to go on the offense.
Her opponent is bigger and stronger than her, and probably won’t be tired out by dodges and parries.
Breaking that broom would seem like it puts Saki at a range disadvantage, but if she plans on going in close, she might play her agility and small target area at full advantage.
How will Phoebe counter? Will she try to pre-empt Saki’s attack? Will she be dumbfounded to find herself on the defense? Whatever she will do, she does not seem to be the type to play it safe.
