…And she’s back.
What, you thought I’d really get rid of this crazy character? ;)
At long last, Laurence gets her own profile page. The art feels so old… I was actually planning to have this profile up much earlier, but it ended up taking four years since things went in a strange direction for the character… more on this next week! :)
And this wraps up Chapter 5 rather nicely. I’m so glad to still have you guys around!
Things have been crazy this month. I worked on putting together a second paperback, Frivolesque Volume 2. There’s also Nadeshicon and the FBDFQ right around the corner, which I have to get ready for, I’ve been writing chapter 6 and 7 at the same time, and I’m moving to a new place with my girlfriend, so I’m afraid I need a little break. Again!
So it’s time for a short hiatus. I won’t have any guest comics this time, but don’t worry. I’ll have some bonus content up every Monday until I come back with Chapter 6 in a few weeks. Don’t be to hard on me. I’m not going anywhere!

I wondered where she’d pop up next, but somehow “Flore’s couch” never occurred to me.
It’s obvious in retrospect. That couch looks decently comfy!
Her entire place looks comfy.
It looks comfy, but I wouldn’t sit right where the couch’s face is.

Uncertain age, unclear where she’s from, might be evil unless she isn’t, tangible existence is questionable. This is the least informative character profile ever!
Yup
Weirdest character took four years to finally introduce herself, at long last.
On that note, happy 4th anniversary, more or less.
Thanks!
I’m looking forward to seeing that comedy duo interact with each other. :)
In earlier strips, Laurence was the serious part, while her animals did the jokes, but now she gets to have the other role.
Yeah, it’s all relative!
At least Laur’s blood is real, the real mystery is Clem’s alien blood type.
That’s so obvious, her alien blood type is C, from Citrus.
Blood type C is just what you get if you take a bite out of blood type O.
I have to admit, I was not prepared for this.
That’s a lot of “might or might not” XD
Which does NOT explain Laurence at all but that’s the whole point ^_^
Does…does this mean we’ll get the other banner at the top again? The one with Laurence in it? Please?
You want Clementine gone already?
No, we are just afraid that could happen :(
How about you use the TWC banner instead? You know, the one with both Clementine and Laurence? You might have to make the page a bit wider though.
It’s a bit too wide. Anyway, even though Laurence is sticking around, she’s not gonna be a main character. I can’t possibly put everyone in the banner, or I’d have to include Liliane, Mimi, the boys and quite possibly Delphine in there too. ;)
THE PLOT THICKENS
Does it?
Only if you add enough corn starch.
And apply some heat. (Or you’ll have to add a lot of corn starch.)
I’d use potato starch though, that way the plot stays clear while it thickens.
All this can mean only one thing: Laurence is AND isn’t Schrödinger’s cat.
Then the wooden box must be her Infinite Improbability Drive she uses to wander the universe, (and disappear from bus stops).
You might be on to something.
So… it has come to this.
Well…o.k. This should work. One question though. Why do list blood types?
It might have something to do with this? (Correct me if I’m wrong, Dez…)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_type_personality_theory
Blood types have always been part of Japanese bios. Apparently, it’s important over there. I just listed it to make fun of my manga influences.
Okay, so she’s AB because of the split personality thing? I would’ve expected her to be the cheerful B, but you can’t have all your girls be B.
Her blood type doesn’t match her personality too well, but she needed to have the same as her twin’s.
If they’re really twins, then surely they’re the same age.
Aside from Laurence maybe aging at a difference rate in whatever plane of existence she usually dwells in.
Blows dust off of top hat, dons it. ‘Milady!’
Meanwhile, the cat says, “She’s in my spot. My spot, make her move.”
Well, it’s nice to know that she at least doesn’t resent Liliane for pretending she doesn’t exist/not believing in her/etc etc.
