288 – Suggestion
Yup. Chloe and Marie aren’t originally from Quebec City.
But it seems like one is more eager to go back to her hometown than the other…

The girls are actually from Trois-Rivières? What a plot twist.
Why is that a plot twist, lots of people come from a different place.
Yeah. I can’t possible relate to people who weren’t born in the same area I grew up in. ;)
People who are born, live and die in the same place have become a rarer thing since the industrial age.
What can possibly frighten Marie-Neige? Who is her mother? A super-severe school teacher? A military officer? An ice-cold businesswoman? Last time I’ve seen a reaction like this in Fullmetal Alchemist when Elric brothers were about to meet their sensei)
You’ll know soon enough.
She might be the type who pesters her daughter about finding a good man to marry, I can see why M-N would rather not have to deal with that.
If I read http://frivolesque.com/archives/comic/249-self-insert correctly, Marie’s mom is at least the type to ask why she hasn’t found a job yet. And I imagine she might have something to say about Marie’s hobbies.
I believe that is what you Humans call a “blue screen of death” we are seeing here? It seems mentioning visiting her Mother shuts her down. I guess that means it’s not the healthiest relationship…
Yay, big word…
I think—and I’m just spitballin’ here—that we’ve just discovered Chloe’s dad’s name. (Hope I didn’t just ruin something there, Dez.)
I thought it was obvious. XD
I thought it was a cousin, i.e. the son of Chloé’s aunt.
Could be.
Although Claude sounds old fashioned to my french canadian ears, and wouldn’t probably the name of someone in his 20s. XD
Good good, get some of the cast out of the way, so Gaia and Saki can have their dark action arc. Now Marie, less talking, more going, chop chop! Take Clem with you for emotional support or something. :-)
