Poor Gaia.
She doesn’t do well with normies.
Me neither. :(
Does anyone?
Wait, that’s normal?
My theory is that she’s a gem who was made on Earth, not sure what type of gem she is tho but if she was made in a secret Canadian Kindergarten, she might be a Unarovite or a Chrysoprase if her hair-coloring is any indication.
Then where is her gemstone?
Nice crossover anyways) explains a lot.
Some part of her body we haven’t seen cos that would raise the parental rating of this comic too high.
The moment you realize that a bunch of geeks and weirdos are actually the sane part of the world.
Also I tried to put swear words instead of censored blocks and it didn’t make any sense. Than I realized it’s actually names of some reality show.
Also: WHAT’S WITH THEIR FACES, NOBODY HERE WEARS GLASSES IS THIS EVEN FRIVOLESQUE
Gaia has ventured in another world, clearly. A world where no one wears glasses.
Oof. Poor Gaia.
I like Steve, but his taste in many things is questionable, women apparently being among them.
Agreed. =_= Bianca seems… shallow, to put it kindly.
She has hidden depths, very, very well hidden depths. So well hidden they’ll never see the light of day, or any other light.
…come to think of it, is that still Steeve in past panel 1? His face looks different than usual, and he’s wearing a different shirt from in panel 1, though I’d probably change too between gym time and going out to dinner.
There’s a reason why his design changes between panel 1 and the rest of the comic… ;)
Cause his girlfriend is the kind of brainless ditz that sucks all intelligence from the room? Or she’s that shallow it wears away at him, draining the very life from his body?
I really messed up the day Daniel the Human said those things…
Steeve can’t make the same stupid face all the time.
He can. As long as he remain where we’re used to see him.
You can almost hear the rushing sound of air into her ears. After all. Nature abhors a vacuum.
I don’t think she’s dumb. She just has a rather limited and mainstream world view.
She’s actually a nuclear physicist, but she knows no one wants to talk nuclear physics at the dinner table.
Man I’m crushing on that girl in panel 4 she’s irresistible :>
That’s not the Girl of Many Jobs.
Is this a dream sequence?
it’s not, it’s the other part of the city (outside of the geeky part)
Not even. It’s the same restaurant Liliane was waiting for her date that never came. It’s located downtown. :)
In my opinion, the only show with a legitimate claim to the description of “reality” television?
COPS.
Filmed on location with the men and women of law enforcement.
Seen that show, we both like it. “Never underestimate the power of Human stupidity” as Daniel the Human puts it. Plenty of examples there… :P
Strangely popular in jail, too. “We like seeing who’s gonna be coming in soon,” to paraphrase a blockmate from a long time ago. (While I was annoying them with my Saturday morning cartoon love and misguided desire to watch the series finale of Enterprise.)
There’s also “border security”. Always fun to see people fail to smuggle things. And the long list of things you can’t bring into Australia.
Where are you from?
I was born here in the United States.
No, what country are you really from? Where are your parents from?
Still the United States.
No, but REALLY?
. . .
Something a lot of visible minorities have to deal with on a daily basis, I’m sure. :(
One of my favourite quotes from Short Circuit:
Newton: Where are you from, anyway?
Ben: Bakersfield, originally.
Newton: No, I mean your ancestors.
Ben: Oh, them. Pittsburgh.
Too bad they changed his backstory in the inevitable sequel. I think it takes away from his character.

I’m with Gaia. The only decent “reality” shows I’ve ever bothered to watch were Mythbusters and Junkyard Wars, both on Discovery Channel back in the day, nyao.
Oh, hairballs. Now I miss the days when History Channel showed actual history shows instead of round-the-clock Pawn Stars, TLC showed anything other than makeovers and over-the-top weddings, and Syfy was still Sci-Fi Channel and showed actual science fiction…
Ever since they started packing their schedule with crap about ancient aliens, ghost hunting, and Nazi occultism,, I’ve been calling it the “Alternate History Channel.”
I’d say The Mole was a pretty good reality show. Mythbusters was good most of the time, though the two teams did screw shit up on a somewhat regular basis. (Oh, well. At least there were good explosions.)
I miss those days of actually appealing to your niche, too. Could be worse though. CN Real could have succeeded.
I think the people with niche tastes have left TV a long time ago, because the internet is a much better place. So there’s no reason for TV anymore to even try to address them. It’s the main reason why I never got myself a TV when I stopped living with my parents (i.e. when I started studying 14 years ago).
