Meeting up in this part again. Maybe it’s a sign Gaia and Flore haven’t been hanging out enough lately.
I’ve missed this little park. I felt like drawing it again as the snow thawed a few weeks ago. Turns out drawing this place in spring is a lot harder than it was during summer. Foliage is amazing for hiding complicated backgrounds.

Disguised like a true superhero. Glasses are the only reason Broken-Hearted Lady cannot find Gaia. But somehow I foresee a bittersweet farewell with them. Perhaps Gaia lends them to an old lady in the street, who lost her own pair, saying “You need them more then me” and walking away, never looking back.
Backgrounds are amazing, for a moment I thought it was a photo.
Aw! And thanks for the nice comment. I worked a lot on that one, even though I reused some elements from the old comics.
And to answer the question in the Russian comments, yes, it’s Flore. Like you said, Laurence has shorter hair side-bang thingies, but the best way to tell the two girls apart is this : Laurence’s eyebrows are always visible through her hair. Flore’s eyebrows aren’t.
I totally thought that was still Laurence dressed as Flore.
But now you’ve revealed the secret to see through that ruse if Laurence ever tries to fool me again.
Muahaha*sigh* I’m so bad with details, I need everything pointed out to me.
After all there are so many tall dark-skinned green-haired girls running around the place…
We know there’s at least one other.
But Flore isn’t aware of that one… yet.
So this is actual Frore, & not her………Twin? In disguise still?
Of course it’s actual Flore. I don’t think Laurence is able to pull Flore’s usual emotionless face. Quick tip to tell the two apart, Flore’s side bangs are a lot longer than Laurence’s. And also, Laurence’s eyebrows are always visible. Flore’s never are.
And now I… Hey, what? I’m the evil twin now?
Only when I comment on the French side, as it turns out. (Whew!)
Et si je les lis en français, il y a double des Frivolesques!
Re: Gaia’s glasses, I like them. Pretty ladies are prettier with glasses!
You’re the only one thinking that that I know of. :)
“Do you realize this is the very same place where we met last Summer? You know….FIVE YEARS AGO?
Time flies so slowly in the Frivolesque world.
At least it’s not completely comic-book time!
Flore is regally doing it for me in panel #3.
clif08 is right on about the background, this world always feels like a real place and not a bunch of generic settings.
But it IS a real place. :)
I should do some sort of photo post where I show some areas of the city where the girls hung out.
Could be interesting… :)
You’ve mentioned this and I feel like you might have shared some of the real-life sites in the past before. Or maybe I’m just imagining that.
Whoa!
I just realized you’re Seasons. I didn’t know you were still around. T_T
And no, I haven’t, but I think it’s a really good idea for my next webcomic vacations. (hope those ones last longer than the last ones)
Would it be too far fetched to try to ship these two? It’s so unlikely, but I could see it working if they really tried. :3
Also, hello again, Dez. I haven’t commented in a while, sozz.
Best you can hope for is canon subtext or if anyone is willing, fanart or fanfiction.
Well, somebody wrote a small fic about Flore/Gaia relationship, so you’re not the only one who ships them, at least. I could give you a link, but it’s in russian =/
What is this thing you’re talking about, and why haven’t I been informed?
I thought I mentioned it long ago. I found this fic randomly while searching for Frivolesque. It’s all fluff about Gaia hugging and cuddling with Flore.

Well, crap, I don’t know Russian. D:
And google doesn’t do a very good job translating it either.
Hello Jellyfish! I’ve missed you.
At least you have the guts to add a background to your comics. When it comes to that moment in my work, I get a little lazy with mine or do the worst thing: leave it blank.
Backgrounds are fun! And I love that people who live in Quebec City can recognize the various areas of the city I use in my comic. :)
Gah!
Yes.
