to be fair I thought the bandage was more of a brace to help her wrist recover from chronic online gaming but I guess it’s a little too high to be that.
While you’re technically right, Marie-Neige still identifies as such because she has all of the tendencies of yaoi fangirls. And while she does like the idea of yaoi, she’s into female pairings herself.
I knew someone would point this out sooner or later. :)
December 21st. My uncle’s birthday. My mom always felt sorry for him as a kid because his birthday was the “shortest day of the year” (back then she didn’t get that it only referred to daylight, not the actual day).
Driving is almost a requirement in Florida. Our cities are built out, not up. As such, places don’t have the high concentration of people that make public transport efficient. :-/
Public transportation in Québec City is quite all right. Many people don’t own a vehicle, especially not a “poor” student like Marie-Neige. Chloé, on the other hand, has many friends and family outside of the city, and prefers to own a car. (for the record, Gaia doesn’t have a license either. Flore rides a Vespa in summer, and Saki allegedly owns a Motorcycle, although she left it behind in some other city.)
Chloe was born on the summer solstice while Marie-Neige was born on the winter one. There’s like a “summer vs winter” thing going on with those two. :)
(Also, Neige, in marie-Neige, means snow. She’s very meta.)
I live in central Kansas, three miles to my nearest neighbor, seven miles to the nearest paved road, 20 minute drive (at 65 mph) to the nearest town. The closest city to me with public transportation is over a hour drive. I can’t imagine not owning a vehicle.
Do people really have names like that?
We don’t have a lot of Quebec-folk in our database so I really can’t tell.
I don’t tend to encounter names that long outside of Brazil or Portugal though.
Actually, the bag is inspired by a shopping bag from Simons, a popular clothing store from Quebec City. I just redesigned it with a Marie-Neige twist.
I never thought of Winners when I did it. ^^
The Beats thing is just me being silly. I’m not really afraid of using real brands, I’m a nobody.
(The site is in only in French right now but an English version will come soon. You can still order the English version of the books there. Be sure to specify.)

I can’t help but notice what looks like a bandage.
Definitely feeling the “absolute territory” here, among other things.
Yup. Marie-Neige always has a mysterious gauze bandage on her right arm.
As for the zettai ryouiki… who doesn’t like that?
to be fair I thought the bandage was more of a brace to help her wrist recover from chronic online gaming but I guess it’s a little too high to be that.
It is too high. It’s probably some fashion statement of hers.
Does she know fujoshi means “yoai fangirl?”

Does it not apply to Yuri?
Nevermind. I’m a ‘tard.
You’re not!
I share many of Marie’s LIKES as well as her distain for driving (even if my legal-blindness excuses me from having a drivers licence)
Marie-Neige’s excuse for not driving is the fact her best friend has a car, and pretty much takes her everywhere Marie-Neige asks her to.
The only cars I like driving are of the dodgem variety.
Driving, I like. It’s the logistics that turn me to public transportation – gas, insurance, maintenance; no thank you!
That, and the parking at my uni’s a bear.

:)) Exactly what i thought, cool!

When your best friend has a full size body pillow of you, I think it’s time to get a new best friend.

Yes, yes they do. And it’s not that weird at all. :P
Weird is relative… clearly. Quebec names are definitely weird by the standards I’m used to.
I’m used to Indian names, Chinese names, Thai names, Portuguese names, Icelandic names… but I’m clearly not used to Quebec names.
Are you afraid of getting sued if you use the actual brand name and logo like Winners or Beats. I’m sure they’d appreciate the free product placement.

this punchline is hilarious, but I feel kinda bad for Marie.
Omg elle magasine au winners ! <3
Non, Winters. En fait c’est un magasin fictif dans Frivo inspiré de Simons.
