Welcome to the third guest strip of 2016!
THIRD. If this is only the second you’re seeing, then you missed last Thursday‘s strip.
This week features the return of Franz, my brother and the most awesome human being in existence.
I think I’ll bug him for a guest strip every year because I just love the ideas he’s got for the Frivolesque girls. And it’s a clever ploy to make him draw again.
Those statues really exist, located close to Parliament Hill on Grande-Allée street. Every time I walk next to them, I’m thinking modern art is really, really strange.
See you again on THURSDAY!
How does one free statues from their bondage anyhow?
Erosion?
Like most problems, this one can probably be solved with a hammer.
Explosives are much more satisfying.
Right, someone call the demolition team!
Nah, DIY. More fun as long as there’s no surveillance cameras. And you don’t have an idiot friend who thinks it’d be cool to put it on youtube.
The sweet release of …..
Uhm, how about traditional way? I mean, kiss doesn’t cost you money and you won’t be arrested for vandalism.
The spell can only broken by a kiss from a pretty girl wearing glasses.
Oh no! Where will they ever find one of those?
How unfortunate that Gaia doesn’t wear glasses, and that Flore can’t reach high enough.
Nooo! Do not use a hammer or anything that would shatter the statues! These men are not cast into stone, they were turned to stone. Only a long native shamanic ritual can free these poor souls.
Man, I wish you were here more often.
I cant help them i only have the rain dance and the solja boi under my belt
Magic.
Super Soft
Cast stone to flesh on them.
Sure, if you’ve got three 6th level spell slots handy, but at that point you’ve probably got bigger fish to fry.
Well, there’s always the solution we used when our paladin and his warhorse both nat-1ed their saves against a gorgon’s breath. Cast animate object on them. It doesn’t really free them from their bondage, but at least you can make them roam around hitting things, so they were at least as useful as the paladin ever was.
Turn them to face away from each other.
However, you’re dooming the rest of the world if you do.
What is going on? Frivolesque is ending the month above 150 on topwebcomics? C’mon, it deserves better than that!
You do know that you can vote every day, right?
It’s a great comic, let’s show some support and help keep Dez motivated!
D:
T…thank you so much.
Soon ill put all the comics I read in my favorites bar and ill do what I can to vote multiple times a day every 5 hours being allowed only at the point i see them reach the top ill have to regulate which ones i want to be on top by dropping some votes a day.
Why? Because I have good taste meaning when i read its good content and i hope it stays like that or gets better
I wonder if the same fate was met by the weird chunky statues on the stairs outside the Art Museum by the Plains of Abraham. There are a lot of statues in this city that need freeing!
Chunky statues? The animal things?
Or are you referring to something else?
But yeah, weird art is all over the place here. :)
Yeah, the animal things. I just remember their odd placement on the stairs, sort of like they were just moseying on their merry way, then got frozen there.
On another note, Franz’s style is eerily similar to Etienne’s. Not the exact same, but there’s some sort of … familial resonance there.
I do agree. It looks like it was made by Etienne, but that’s not quite like it. Franz should definitely start drawing his own comic, I’d definitely read it.
I wish he did too…
Damn. A lot of people say that, but I never saw it myself.
I guess we did learn to draw together, so it kinda shows? I dunno.
I don’t really see it either this time, except maybe around Flore’s eyes.
It takes basilisk blood ;) says the girlfriend
You had to tell everyone you were the girlfriend, right? ;)
With your full name and everything.
Doomed to a state of perpetual stasis having the same conversation over and over again.
Yep. Sounds like my life.
For this and the previous page I thought:
Huh, so that’s what the characters look like when they’re not drawn cross-eyed. ;-p
