The third most dangerous phrase in the English language, following “nothing can possibly go wrong” and “this’ll be the best Christmas Walford’s ever had”!
Solution to boredom : Do whatever she normally does to not be bored.
Kinda stating the obvious here.
It kinda bugs me when fiction seems to be railroading an antisocial person into suddenly not only having but needing a social circle. Like suddenly having a bunch of friends fills a gaping void in their life they never knew was there.
In real life… that just plain doesn’t happen.
The opposite… sure. But not that way around.
Plenty of times I’ve tried to be friendly… tried to hang around with people… then just ended up getting sick of it in record time and within 10 minutes I’m trying to murderise them for a little privacy. And every single time, once I got my privacy back, the first thought that comes to mind was “I’m so not doing that again”…
Flore doesn’t really dislike the company of others. She just has some trouble interacting with people, so she usually ends up being alone.
Spending the evening with people for the first time in a while was overwhelming for her, but entertaining at the same time. It also made her realize she doesn’t always enjoy being lonely all the time.
And I’m pretty sure it happens in real life considering I’m mostly like that, and I certainly do exist in real life.
I meant that thing that happens in fiction where someone who has somehow been alone for basically forever and relatively okay with it just suddenly procures friends in quantity by some contrived series of coincidences, and reacts to the whole thing 100% positively.
THAT is what doesn’t happen in real life.
… And how can you mostly be like a one-time event? That doesn’t parse.
Im pretty anti social but i also like friends when its just me and some one else im pretty borings but when there are 2 other people i can use the other person to fill in the gaps i make a great 3rd wheel makes it feel like this tricycle was destiny

awww, I think she misses everyone.
Does she, now?
I can think of a few cats who wouldn’t hide. Most would be soliciting attention/scritches, though a couple might try to drive out the ‘intruders.’
Philemon is a lot like his owner. He doesn’t like being disturbed.
As my friend always tells me, ‘Only the boring get bored.’
Flore is kinda boring, it’s true.
depends on which side of the window you are looking from
Only the simple-minded don’t get bored.

The last thing that I noticed was the most perfect- Philemon’s expression in the final panel.
