304 – Persuasion
At last, the comic I started before a crowded room at Nadeshicon!
We finally have a bit more information on Marie-Lune, but I’m sure this new alliance doesn’t bode very well for a few of our heroines…

Come on, Zoe. Given who your boss is a weird look in someone’s eyes should be something that doesn’t effect you at all.
In all fairness, ‘Tisiphone’ is right there in the room with her, and the boss isn’t…
It’s… rather hard to ship a completely heartless character. Is this what broken heart symbol means?
Shipping these two is a bit like sending a flimsy raft across the ocean during a hurricane. Not a high chance it’ll get anywhere, but if it does, oh boy what a story that’ll make.
I guess it’ll greatly depend on whether she really is that heartless or if there is any soft spot worth redeeming.
Looks like someone might be getting ‘sensitivity training’ very soon.
Somehow, “This ain’t good” just doesn’t quite convey the full range of my feelings of disquiet…
Dun dun dun
Having done a bit of looking back through the archives… It’s rather interesting to see that while Marie-Neige’s instinctive dislike of Marie-Lune was pretty justified.
Oh Zoe, you are in deep doodoo. I assume that Marie-Lune is who she says she is, as people don’t just walk into the offices of an intelligence agency unscreened. That said, she comes off as quite the nutjob, or more precisely a self righteous narcissistic sociopath. (at least that’s my call…but I am not a psychiatrist…nor do I play one on t.v.) Hope the C.I.A. doesn’t have TOO many like her.
When you are looking for certain rare talents, you have to take what else is in the bag as well.
And Marie-Lune really killed it at the talent show with her chainsaw juggling.
Hmmm, I’m putting miss “Green Hair Hunter” finding out where our friendly neighborhood green haired girl lives in the “not a good thing” box. That’s not a good box to be in…
Nope, definitely not a good box.
No, no new ships.
Maybe a few submarines…
Zoe is Marie-Lune’s Clementine.
Not really. There is real interest on Clem’s part. Cloe is just in a bad situation. (Cloe is so screwed. She’s just an analyst, not a field agent. And Marie-Lune is potentially nuts. Poor Cloe is totally out of her league.)
You mean Zoe, right?
Oops. Sorry Zoe, my bad.
I’m kinda shocked Marie-Lune and Valentine are part of the same organization as Liliane, Saki and Conroy, and Zoe.
But from what Valentine said, Marie-Lune seems to be acting on her own, and not necessarily with the approval of the organization, or even her branch in it. Still, it raises the question of what exactly this organization is supposed to do, and why it hires people like Marie-Lune.
I was kinda assuming the organization was the good guys, what with Liliane and Saki being part of it. But now I wonder if Marie-Lune is the bad apple in a good bunch, or whether Liliane and co are the good apples in a bad bunch.
