Gaia is the one wearing the 13 shirt right? Now she has the 4 symbol which is also a bad luck number in some Asian countries.
In western numerology, 13 = 1 + 3, which adds up to 4.
The meaning isn’t quite as bad there. One interpretation is that it’s the number of conscientiousness and responsibility.
Even the Asian interpretation isn’t all negative. Four does sound like the word for death, but it’s also the number for a crossroads, which is a balanced place of power between other realms.
All of which does seem to suit Gaia quite nicely.
That crossroads part, I didn’t previously know.

Everytime someone swears I look up the French version in hopes of learning some interesting new words, but this time she just said something like “Shut your traps!”
Too bad she didn’t say “Zut alors! Silence, crisse de cheveux verts!”, because then she would’ve turned her rage from 1 up to 11 between just two sentences, hence her number.
I think the “shut up” line belongs to Gaia, because speechbubble’s tail is pointing towards her mouth. It looks like this exclamation woke Tethys up.

Hehe, yeah, I used “Shut your traps” on purpose, because in French Tethys used a word that comes fairly close to “traps”.
Looking at Tethys somehow reminds me of Karkat Vantas, like they’re both “came out wrong”, with a somewhat red theme, and shouty.
Oh yeah, she definitely would be a good Karkat.
I’m wondering if they ever swapped shirts to see how many people they could trick. I know those Mythbuster guys dressed up as the other one & fooled a lot of people until they talked, that’s what gave it away. I guess the hairstyles could make it harder, but it might fool some.
I know Daniel the Human can be pretty bad with names & faces at times. “Lacking social training when younger probably prevented proper development of those skills”, whatever that means…
They aren’t twins though. I think the staff might tell them apart without the shirts. XD

I think perhaps daddy Maguire wasn’t being mean when he said it would have been better if they hadn’t been born. At least they’re apparently allowed to roam free in (part of) the facility.
